Headed to GDC tomorrow! Muy Excited.

Here's a little animation I'm working on (definitely still in progress):



It's harder than I anticipated to conform to a style and use repeating shapes. I usually just go where the shape of the fire takes me, but I thought I'd be fancy this time around. Definitely a cool and worthwhile exercise.

I haven't updated in a little while -- that's because GDC is JUST around the corner and I've been gathering demo reel materials and fancying up my website, blog, youtube, and twitter. If you want to check all those out... follow these links:

basically, I've edited the layouts and made the pinks pinker.

My demo reel isn't quite done yet, but here's a couple of things that I've polished up from last year that you can look at.







Peter Moehrle looked at the Retina animation and said he would recommend it to be used as marketing material for DigiPen. Neat!

GDC

Apparently, I won a free Expo pass to GDC through my school! That's pretty awesome. I haven't really been thinking about getting a job after graduation. It's just plain hard to get a job, let alone a good job that I care about. Maybe going to GDC will be a huge benefit to me in the whole process.

I have an aunt in Redwood City who may be willing to let me stay there for free, so what I really have to worry about is travel and food expenses. And getting business cards printed, and making copies of my demo reel. And... other things.

Guh! I need an adult.
